The Taliban say at least ten US soldiers have been killed in a bomb attack in Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan.
The American troops lost their lives in a bomb attack in Maiwand district on Wednesday, a Press TV correspondent reported.
A 12 year-old English-speaking member of the Taliban carried out the attack, the report added.
According to foreign forces, the coalition has not inflicted any casualties.
Earlier, NATO announced the death of a US-led soldier in a Taliban attack in southern Afghanistan.
The nationality of the soldier and the exact location of the incident are still unknown.
An increase in Taliban attacks has made 2010 the deadliest for foreign troops since the beginning of the war in 2001.
At least 682 foreign troops have lost their lives in war-ravaged Afghanistan so far in a war that has become the longest in US history.
With civilian and military casualties at record highs, many question the motives behind the ongoing conflict.
The rising number of casualties among the US-led forces has raised opposition to the Afghan war in the countries which have contributed troops to the mission.
