Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijan and Turkey will launch joint production of several military equipments next year, defense sources told APA.
The sides have already reached an agreement on joint production projects. The Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan and Turkey’s Otokar Company signed a protocol of intention in October to produce armored equipments. Those will be produced on the basis of license and necessary spare parts will be imported from Turkey.
Azerbaijani and Turkish defense industry officials are expected to discuss some prospective projects later in December.
Azerbaijan and Turkey are now producing small arms and some of ammunitions.
