PAF to escort Chinese PM
ISLAMABAD - As part of the Government's grand welcome reception to the Chinese Prime Minister, Pakistan's armed forces have decided to provide air escort to the visiting dignitary on arrival when his plane enters Pakistani air space.
Well-placed sources informed The Nation on Wednesday that two JF-17 Thunder Aircraft would escort the Chinese Premier the moment his plane enters Pakistan air space. Sources further said that a special gun salute would be presented to the visiting guest when he gets down the plane. Shortly after that the services chiefs and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee would call on the Chinese guest.
